Based in Norway, photographer Øystein Sture Aspelund is the author of the series Arise he made by exploring the verticality of nature. Like the trees that rise from the earth, he rises these trees’ branches up to the sky, using digital photo-manipulation. According to him, the rising is synonyme of progress and prosperity for these dead trees.
